May 26, 2006 – Judge Ive Swan again has been nominated to lead the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands, a position he has held since 1987.
Gov. Charles W. Turnbull submitted the renomination to the 26th Legislature for its advice and consent, writing to Senate President Lorraine L. Berry of Swan's vast experience.
"He continues to display the dedication, wisdom, insight and judicial temperament necessary for judicial appointees," Turnbull wrote.
Swan, a former Attorney General of the Virgin Islands, graduated from Howard University School of Law in 1970.
"Judge Swan is an asset to the Superior Court and the people of the Virgin Islands," Turnbull wrote.
