Water Bay, Coki Beach Clean-ups

Coki beach and Coki Point,

Coral World Ocean Park, Blue Flag USVI, the Virgin Islands Conservation Society – Smith Bay Watershed Project, The Smith Bay Community Action Foundation as well as community volunteers will join forces in an Earth Day event and clean-up at Coki Point and Water Bay. This year’s theme is “Environmental & Climate Literacy,” and its goal is to educate the community about how human activities on land directly affect water quality in the marine environment surrounding the Virgin Islands. Education is one way to help to improve water quality and preserve this marine-based economy. 1st area - Water Bay: Volunteer divers and snorkelers will meet at Coki Beach Dive Club at 8:30 a.m., and available equipment will be provided free of charge. First-come, first-served 2nd area: Coki Point Road and Mangrove (8:30 a.m.) 3rd area: Coki beach and Coki Point (8:30 a.m.) To get involved, e-mail marketing@coralworldvi.com

Hebrew Congregation Annual Meeting

The Hebrew Congregation of St. Thomas will hold its annual meeting. Come gather with friends to cast ballots for officers and members of the Board of Representatives and to discuss issues that will make the Congregation more responsive to the needs of all its members and the community. The by-laws require a quorum of at least 25 members in good standing to conduct business at the meeting.  So please make every effort to attend.
