USVI Soccer Association Gives St. Thomas Region's Results

The St. Thomas Region’s 2012-2013 runaway league champion, the Positive Vibes, continued on its winning ways when it defeated the Laraza 3-0 in the late action Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the Lionel Roberts Stadium. Fifteen minutes into the game, the Positive Vibes’ Orande James and Franklyn Victor had already scored to give them a 2-0 half time lead. The undermanned Laraza, playing with 10 men, did put up a fight, keeping the score reasonable by only conceding an own goal in the second half.
In the evening’s earlier game, the Raymix scored a goal in each half to edge the Waitikubuli 2-1. Midway in the first half, the Raymix’s Conell George scored a header from an Algernon Martin cross to give them a 1-0 lead at the half. Early in the second half, Trevor Wrensford Jr. scored to put the Raymix further ahead 2-0. In the dying moments of the game, the Waitikubuli’s David Sorhaindo scored to reduce the lead to 2-1, as they attempted to stage a comeback. Action will continue this Thursday and Sunday at the same venue.
