During his 28 years of service, some of Farrell’s leadership positions included first sergeant of the 210th Regional Training Institute. While serving as an instructor at the 210th Regiment, Farrell was the lead instructor of the first and only Phase II Warrant Officer Candidate Course conducted by the VING. He has also served as first sergeant of the 610th Quartermaster Water Supply Company.
In February 2009, Farrell served on active duty while assigned as the first senior military science instructor at the University of the Virgin Islands, St. Thomas campus.
Farrell currently holds a full-time position as the Training and Operations Directorate sergeant major.
