Dean Christensen Cole Dies (1953-2014)

Dean Christensen Cole A Celebration of Life service will be held at the St. Thomas Yacht Club at 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17,for Dean Cole, who died suddenly on Wednesday, Nov. 12.

A beloved member of the St. Thomas community, Cole was an air traffic controller, teacher, boat captain, St.Thomas Yacht Club board member, and mentor to many. His life was filled with adventurous and wonderful stories that will serve as a comforting memory for all those who admired and loved him.

Cole is survived by his wife, Kimberly Salisbury-Cole, son Ramsey Cole, stepchildren Amanda Engeman and Jack Engeman, sister Lise Banfield, brother-in-law Clive Banfield, niece Zoe Banfield, nephews, Jonathon Cole and Jason Cole, cousins Sandy Christensen, Cynthia Christensen,William Christensen, Mark Christensen, Ludvig Christensen, special family friends, Frank & Sandy Crandon Sr. and family, Lee Steiner, Martin Lauzze and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Lee Cole, his mother, Doreen Christensen, brother Lee “Chip” Cole, John Christensen, and Inga Haskins.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of St. Thomas.
