Fstop Gallery Offers New Photo Classes

Fstop Gallery is offering new photography classes with workshops for all levels, beginning this week. Each eight-week workshop will include seven classroom sessions and one hands-on field trip.
Instructor Steve Rockstein is a national-award winning photographer. His work has been published and exhibited worldwide. Fstop Gallery, in historic Tillett’s Garden, is the only gallery dedicated exclusively to photography on St. Thomas.

Getting Started This eight-week beginner class is the perfect introduction to DSLR photography. Learn with shooting weekly assignments designed to demystify the camera, classroom critiques to open your eyes and one field trip to put all you’ve learned into practice. Enrollment limited to 10. Camera with manual settings required. DSLR recommended. Tuesdays 7-9 p.m. Jan 22 through March 12. $250
Photo Enthusiast Workshop Individual coaching and critique designed for photographers who have been through the basics but want to see better and understand the process on a deeper level. Unmask the secrets of lenses and the subtleties of light in your photos. Course includes one hands-on field trip and seven classroom sessions. Enrollment limited to 10. DSLR Camera required. Multiple lenses recommended. Thursdays 7-9 p.m. Jan 17 through March 7. $250
