A St. Thomas man was arrested after police said a woman was found unconscious and bleeding from the face at Patriot Manor during a domestic violence incident.
According to the V.I. Police Department, patrol officers were dispatched to Patriot Manor during the early morning hours of Monday, May 18, following a report of an unconscious female.
Police said officers made contact with a woman who was unconscious and bleeding from the face. She was transported by ambulance to Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment. Detectives from the Domestic Violence & Special Victims Unit later interviewed the victim regarding the incident.
Investigators identified DโQuan Rogers as the person who allegedly struck the victim in the face, causing her injuries, according to the police report.
Police said Rogers, 32, appeared at the Domestic Violence Unit on Monday, May 25, regarding the allegations against him. He was arrested, booked and turned over to the Bureau of Corrections pending an advice of rights hearing.
He faces charges of simple assault-domestic violence and disturbance of the peace.
