A St. Thomas man was arrested after police said a domestic disturbance at Paul M. Pearson Gardens escalated into a physical altercation in which two people were assaulted.
According to the V.I. Police Department, officers were dispatched to the housing community at 1:43 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, in reference to a domestic disturbance. Police said a woman reported that she and a family member were assaulted by Winston Jarvis during the incident.
Jarvis appeared at the Domestic Violence/Special Victims Unit on Friday, May 22, where he was advised of his constitutional rights and placed under arrest, according to the police report.
Police said Jarvis, 49, was booked, processed and turned over to the Bureau of Corrections pending an advice of rights hearing.
He faces charges of simple assault-domestic violence, disturbance of the peace-domestic violence, two counts, and reckless endangerment.
