Magdalene Rebecca Edney passed away on Dec. 12. She was 86 years old.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Augustina Edney; father, Ludvig Edney Sr.; sisters, Christalia Edney-Parris, Loretta Edney-Henry, Leona Edney-Macedon, Mary Edney Barbel; brothers, Arthur Edney, George Edney, Walter Simmonds, Ludvig Edney Jr., Leroy Lang; goddaughter/niece, Beverly Henry-Richards; nephew, Ludvig Parris; brothers-in-law, John Parris Sr., Clarence Henry Sr.; godchild, Beverly Henry Richards.

She is survived by her daughter, Edna Callwood-Joseph; adopted daughters, Marjorie Macedon-Delugo, Marlene Henry, Annette Parris-Delgado; grandchildren, Ashley Joseph, Danyel Joseph, Ariel Joseph, Arthur Joseph Jr.; great-grandchildren, Joshua Frederick, Ahsharah Frederick, Gabriella Frederick, Eden Simpson; nieces, Olive Henry-Fergus, Marjorie Macedon-Delugo, Annette Parris-Delgado, Monique Macedon, Velma Parris-Hankins, Norma Parris-Bruce, Leona Henry-Smith, Marlene Henry, Alexandria Barbel-Petersen, Eurnice Heliger; nephews, Clarence Henry Jr., James Henry, John Parris Jr., Winston Parris, Russell Simmonds, Isidro Barbel; brother-in-law, Camille Macedon; sister-in-law, Joyce Edney; godchildren, Monique Macedon, Annette Parris Delgado; other precious family and friends near and far, too numerous to mention.ย 

Funeral services will be held on Jan. 16 at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Sunny Acres. Viewing begins at 9 a.m. with service at 10 a.m. Interment is to be held at Kingshill Cemetery.

The family asks that those in attendance wear shades of emerald green.
