Man Arrested for Burglary of Kronprindsens Gade Business

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested 57-year-old Craig Stevens on charges of burglary in the second degree, grand larceny, aiding & abetting, and disturbance of the peace, with bail set at $25,000, reported the V.I. Police Department.

On April 29, a male victim reported to the police that his cabinet shop, located at Kronprindsens Gade, had been burglarized and that various tools essential to his business were stolen. The victim stated that the intruder gained entry through the roof of the shop, the report stated.

On Monday, Stevens was taken into custody in connection with this burglary. The is an ongoing investigation and detectives are still pursuing a second suspect in this matter, according to the report.

Anyone who has information regarding this incident is encouraged to notify the 911 Emergency Call Center or Detective E. Rijo of the Criminal Investigation Bureau at (340)774-221. Anonymous tips may also be left by contacting Crime Stoppers V.I. at 1-800-222-8477. The VIPD assures the public that all tips will be kept confidential, and contributors may remain anonymous.
