Ivy Victoria Brathwaite Williams Dies at 77

It is with a deep sense of loss and profound sadness that the family of Ivy Victoria Brathwaite Williams announces her passing on Monday, Dec. 2 at the Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center on St. Thomas.

Ivy was a caring, loving, helpful, and endearing woman whose 77 years of life on earth touched numerous lives in significant, meaningful, and long-lasting ways.

This kind hearted and loving woman who enjoyed life in all its forms, was preceded in death by her parents, Ada Archibald and George Brathwaite; brothers, Tyrone (Beans) Brathwaite, Mario (Pala) Weeks, and Rudolf (Pinto/Jahjah) Brathwaite; sister, Eorlyn (WAPA) Weeks Clark; nephews, Kevin Brathwaite, Ibraheem Thomas, Rodney Brathwaite, Rudiki Brathwaite.

The first viewing is at Turnbull’s Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 27. The celebration of Ivy’s life and funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 28 at Wesley Methodist Church in Estate Tutu. Tributes and viewing begin at 8:30 a.m. and the service commences at 10 a.m. Interment at Western Cemetery
