Lt. Gov. Roach in Washington D.C.

Lt. Gov. Tregenza A. Roach leaves the Territory today to attend the National Lieutenant Governor’s Association 2024 New Elect and Member Meeting in Washington, D.C.

As part of its mission, NLGA fosters interstate cooperation and provides a medium for the exchange of views to improve the efficiency of state and territorial administration through education on current issues and leadership training.

Plenary sessions, keynote presentations, and panel discussions from lieutenant governors and NLGA partners will include topics surrounding the U.S. post elections, FEMA updates, economic development and workforce strategies, infrastructure and intergovernmental priorities, and public service.  Lieutenant Governor Roach will moderate a panel on Economic Development and Workforce Strategies for States and Territories.

Roach will return to the territory on Saturday, Dec. 7. In his absence, Senate President Novelle E. Francis, Jr. will assume the duties of the Lieutenant Governor, as per the Revised Organic Act of the Virgin Islands.
