Melanie Charles Dies at 75

Melanie Charles

Melanie Charles, better known as “Ticoute,” of Grand Bay, Dominica, died March 27, at the age of 75.

The first viewing will be held from 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home. The second viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m., Thursday, April 25, followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest in the Eastern Cemetery, Smith Bay.

She is survived by her daughters: Eualine Charles, Michelle Letang, Jerusia Fontaine and Derrisa Gregoire; son, Emmerson St Luce; grandsons: Omayonni, Nathan, Elijah, Shad, Emmerson Jr., Jerlani, Skye, Leon and Jedidiah; granddaughters: Dian, LyEmma, Mindy, Amaya, N’Aleyah and Malayah; great-grandchildren: Niomi, Tsunade, Tsuniya, Jenad, Jinnai, Kyonni, Jah’hile, Elijay, Dinique, Dinai, Giovani and Liam; sons-in-law: Anthony Charles, Clinton Letang, Daniel Fontaine and Levi Gregoire; daughter-in-law: Sandrine St Luce; brothers: Alfred George and Clive Blaize; sisters:Solo, Octavia and Joan; sisters-in-law: Josephine George and Rita George; and adopted sons: Everton Lavinier, Julie John, Gershom George and Joshua Lavinier.

She is also survived by nieces and nephews: Catherina, Daryl, Evelyn, Anthony, Royette, Lennox, Victoria George, Ashton and Juliette, Jemma, Sephora, Tino, Little Joe, Tikiyo, Hilian, Carol Angol, George, Junior, Josephine, Juliette Charles, Veronica, Darroux, Etie, Almerth, Benji, Calton, Cutis, Curly, Clyde, Matthias, Fone, Leandra, Glenda, Robbie, Ovin, Dayday, Dideen, Fitz George, Jonsy, Pamela, Ignatia, Magdaline, Paula, Linda, Philip, Dtie, Mervin, Jeff, Fitz Angol, Carol George, Dervin, Corina, Liat, Samantha, Tokotok, Jacinta, Victoria, Ophelia, Toufam, Roseline, Catherine, Lestroy, Lester, Monique, Tony, Curly, George, Pony, Conni, Coralli, Eric, Shermaine, Wewe, Reah, Rosie, Ruby, Bently, Baby, Raymond, Rosemund, Patricia, Pro, Ray, Edith, Fitzroy, Shirley, Gayle, Eugena, Pearlita, Dean, Wheatbon and Sandra.
