Mark Thomas

Mark J. Thomas, also known as “Uncle Tommy,” of Water Gut Homes, Christiansted, died on March 13.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Royer; father, Charles Thomas, brothers: Edward Royer and Hillaron Thomas; son, Mark J. Thomas Jr.

He is survived by his children: Darvin Thomas, Shawnar J. Thomas, Shawn J. Thomas and Dana Thomas;  grandchildren: Makir Thomas, Mason Thomas, Merico Thomas, Bentley Thomas and Cadillac Thomas; and sisters: Agatha Joseph, Claron “Ronie” Royer, Ruth Royer, Olive Bedminster, and Mary “Edith” Bedneau.

He is also survived by nieces: Mahoyan Doctrove, Tamina Bedneau, Kathryn Bedneau, Merle Royer, Grace Benitez, Donna Williams, Rhonda Willie, Dionne Scott, Vanya Letang and Rhonda Schladand; and nephews: Eric Williams, Alec Williams, Henson Williams,  Alex Benetiz, Gerald Bedminster, Richard Joseph, Clint Royer, Eustus Royer, John Royer and Ray Williams.

Other survivors include daughter-in-law, Angela Thomas; special friends: Esthlyn Rodgers, Erika Thompson, Ching Ching Benitez, Carina Nibbs, Cristeen Rodriguez-Cox, Jamie Mitchell and Sandra; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 22, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
