Virgin Islands Track and Field team member Malique Smith competed in the World Indoor Championships which were held in Glasgow, Scotland, from March 1 – March 3.
Smith expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to compete on the world stage and stated that he was proud to represent his country. He also thanked his coaches, teammates and supporters for their encouragement and support throughout his journey to the championships.
Despite not advancing to the next round, Smith remains focused on his goals and intends to continue training and improving his skills for future competitions. He is determined to represent the Virgin Islands in more international competitions and bring home medals for his country.
