Thanks to funding made available by the Lynch & Sons Fund for the Arts Moveen Prize, Bajo el Sol Gallery and the Gri Gri Project will be publishing an anthology of poems performed at Rhyme and Lime between 2019-2023. Currently, Rhyme and Lime is putting out a call for poets. Past participants of Rhyme and Lime are encouraged to participate in the Bajo El Sol anthology book project. The goal is to release the book by February 2024.

The Lynch & Sons Fund for the Arts is a 501(c)3 organization committed to the arts and was founded in 2016 by American poet and essayist Thomas Lynch. “An appreciation for the connections between place, language and the arts inform both the Moveen Prize and the Rhyme and Lime Poetry Forum,” said Lynch, who has visited St. John over the past 30 winters and has seen Bajo El Sol go from strength to strength in connecting the diverse cultures of the West Indies and Lesser Antilles, and the wider world, through literary and fine arts, music and film.

The opportunity to be included in the poem anthology is open to frequent and one-time performers. Poets are asked to choose one to three of their favorite poems they have written and performed at Rhyme and Lime between 2019-2023, and email them, along with when the poem was performed, to rhymeandlime@gmail.com. Poets who need assistance choosing poems or determining when they were performed should contact Raven at 514-8477 or ravenphillipslove@gmail.com.
