Kianté “Yantz” Christopher died Sept. 12 on St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

He is survived by his mother, Zulema Barzey; biological father, Sanchez Christopher; Pops/Dad, Cliff Williams; grandmothers: Priscilla Cupid, Joyce Barzey and Aggie Williams; grandfathers: Elton Barzey and Bensford Cupid; great-grandmother, Constancia Turnbull (Ms. Conse); brothers: Zarique Williams, D’Quan Christopher, Malik Christopher and King Marley Christopher; and sisters: Za’Naia Barzey, Chezliann Christopher and Niqua-Lovette Christopher.

He is also survived by his son, Kianté Christopher Jr.; mother of his son, Shyrah Isaac; life partner, Kaeani Berry; aunts: Sheemra Cupid, Shanika Bradshaw, Tanya Osborne and Deserie Jones-Caines; great aunts: Chrisencia Barzey, Tanicia Gorden Allen and Travecia Ruby Todman; great-great aunts: Bernice Parsons, Icena Smith, Mavis Penn, Ena Freeman and Mary Todman; and uncles: Kendell Caines, George Bradshaw Jr., Robert Gardner and Travis Barzey.

Other survivors include great uncles: Henry “Carlton” Christopher, William “Hawk” Barzey, Trevor Barzey and Taniel Roosevelt Todman Jr.; great-great uncles: Thomas “Junior” Turnbull,  Adolbert Turnbull, Raymond Turnbull,  Aubrey Turnbull, Larry Pond, Melvin Christopher and  Irvin Gibbs; and special cousins: Natasha Barzey-Julius, Terri Todman, Choya Todman and Ma’Choy Maduro.

Kianté “Yantz” Christopher is also survived by many, many more relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

Relatives and friends are respectively invited to attend the public viewing at Turnbull’s Funeral Home from 4-6 p.m., Friday, Oct. 20.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 21, at Living Word Family Ministries in Smith Bay, St. Thomas. The viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Eastern Cemetery, Smith Bay.
