St. Thomas Man Burglarizes Construction Site

A St. Thomas man was arrested Monday for burglarizing a construction site, the V.I. Police Department reported.

John D. Turnick, a Caucasian male known as “John,” was identified on surveillance video burglarizing a construction site located at Estate Thomas and removing over $1,000 worth of items without the owner’s permission, according to the police report.

Turnick gave a video confession to this crime, along with other crimes. Turnick, 54, was arrested and charged with burglary in the third degree, grand larceny and petit larceny. His bail was $47,000, police say.

This case is presently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
