Man Dies After Having Seizure While Driving

An auto collision occurred Friday when the driver of one of the vehicles involved was having a seizure, the V.I. Police Department reported.

A concerned citizen called and reported that a man driving a truck in Havensight was having a seizure. When VIPD arrived, EMS was already on the scene providing medical attention to the Black male, later identified as 55-year-old James Bryan, according to the police report.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Bryan was operating his Ford F-150 truck in Havensight when he had a seizure. The truck collided with a golf cart which then collided with another truck causing minor damages. Bryan was transported to RLS Hospital, where he died, the police report stated.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
