Evading Florida Police, A Man Arrested on St. Croix

On Saturday a man was picked up on an outstanding warrant escaping from the custody of the Hillsborough County, Florida police. The man evaded authorities and made his way to St. Croix, said the Virgin Islands Police Department.  

Shakir Jaahsine Noel, 29 was placed under arrest and charged as a fugitive from justice once police were able to contact him at a Frederiksted residence. Noel was booked, however, no bail was set until he is seen by a judge, said police. 

He was transported to Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing on April 10, according to press release.
