Board of Career and Technical Education Elects Murphy to be New Chairwoman

The Virgin Islands Department of Education

The Board of Career and Technical Education elected Ms. Murphy as the new chairwoman of the board during a special organization meeting held at 4 p.m., Feb. 13. Dr. Francois will continue to serve on the board as immediate past chair.

Additionally, the Board of Career and Technical Education has announced that Dr. Jackson has retained her seat as vice-chair of the board, and all other members will continue in their respective positions.

The Board of Career and Technical Education is committed to providing quality career and technical education programs to students in our community. It believes that Ms. Murphy’s leadership and expertise will help us to continue to achieve our mission of preparing students for successful careers in a variety of fields.

It looks forward to working with Ms. Murphy, Dr. Francois, Dr. Jackson, and all members of the board to provide the best possible education and career training opportunities for our students.
