Ammunition and Illegal Drugs Found at Residence; One Arrested

A search warrant on St. Croix presented live ammunition, illegal drugs and the arrest of one person Friday, the V.I. Police Department reported.

Search warrants were executed on Friday at a residence in Pepper Tree Terrace in connection to the homicide investigation of Bradley Maxwell that occurred on Dec. 28, 2022. During the search, live ammunition and illegal drugs were recovered, according to the police report.

Edelfonso Garcia, age 45, was arrested during the search and charged with possession or sale of ammunition and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, the report stated.

Garcia’s bail was set at $7,500. He was unable to post bail, and he was remanded to the John Bell Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility, pending his advice of rights hearing on Monday.
