Submit Tips to Crime Stoppers and Help Solve Homicides

On Aug. 17, 2020, 16-year-old Tintawee Tammir Issat Christian, 16, also known as “Tawee,” was found dead, and an unidentified friend was seriously injured.

Christian and an unidentified friend were walking in the Estate Sion Farm near the Mill on St. Croix when they were approached by an unfamiliar vehicle and were shot at. Shots fired were reported to 911, and police were dispatched to the area. Upon arrival, Christian was found dead, and his friend seriously injured.

On Feb. 27, 2021, Elsi Ruiz, 66, of La Grange, St.Croix, was found lying in a pool of blood at her residence.

Shots fired were reported to 911, and VIPD was dispatched. According to information from VIPD, the victim’s children came home to find their mother in a pool of blood. The motive for the homicide is under investigation.
