Please Help Solve These Violent Crimes

On Saturday night, May 21, at around 9:35 p.m. the 911 Emergency Call Center received a call of a robbery in progress at Taste of Margaritas in Frederiksted, St. Croix.

According to police, four men stormed the establishment in black ski masks shouting, “Do not move or I’ll shoot you,” Two of the men pointed their guns at the bartender and demanded she open the cash register and took about $300 in cash.

A witness told police he was sitting at the bar when a Black man about 5 feet, 4 inches tall came in and used the restroom, then briefly sat at the bar, and asked if they had Corona beer before leaving again. Immediately after, the four men stormed the establishment in black ski masks.

Video from security cameras at Taste of Margaritas in Frederiksted shows three masked men in black T-shirts rushing the bar with guns drawn, then running back out the door a short time later with one covering for the others by pointing his gun while they made their escape. According to the police report, the men drove off in a white Ford Fiesta that was parked across the street.

On July 4, 2021, the decomposed body of an adult male was found in an apartment in Estate Peter’s Rest, St. Croix. The autopsy disclosed the victim had been shot multiple times, which caused his death. The victim has been identified as Michael Scott, age 48 of Estate Peter’s Rest.

Cash rewards of up to $25,000.00 are offered for information leading to an arrest of a homicide suspect.
