Department of Education Updates Status of Public Schools for May 4-6

Virgin Islands Department of Education

The following is the updated status of all Virgin Islands Department of Education schools for the remainder of the week, May 4-6.

St. Croix District

-All schools in the St. Croix District will resume in-person learning beginning Wednesday, May 4.

-Students and school-based staff should report to their campuses, pending having received a negative COVID-19 test result.

-Students’ negative test results must be shown at the entrance of the school, where they will receive a wristband to wear for the remainder of the week.

St. Thomas-St. John District

-All schools in the St. Thomas-St. John District will remain virtual for the remainder of the week, May 4-6.

-STTJ District schools are expected to resume in-person learning on Monday, May 9.

COVID-19 Mass Testing

-The V.I. Department of Health will conduct mass testing from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, for students and school-based staff who did not test on May 2-3. Visit www.vide.vi for complete details.
