VIPD Investigating Alleged Rape on Boat on St. Thomas

 

The Criminal Investigation Bureau of the V.I. Police Department is investigating a reported rape on Tuesday in Estate Frydenhoj on St. Thomas.

According to a press release issued by VIPD Public Information Officer Glen Dratte, officers were dispatched to the boat yard in Estate Frydenhoj at 7:52 a.m. on Thursday, where they interviewed a woman who said that she went out for a drink on a boat on Tuesday with the boat operator, whom she had known for two weeks, when she was assaulted.

The woman told police that when she was getting ready to leave, the suspect grabbed her upper arm and threw her to the floor, striking her multiple times, causing bruising, and then assaulted her physically and sexually.
