Man Injured by Bullet, Shooting Under Investigation

On Jan. 22, at 11:34 p.m., personnel from the Juan Francisco Luis Hospital & Medical Center alerted the 911 Emergency Call Center of a gunshot victim.

According to the Virgin Islands Police Department, the male victim said he was driving with his friends west on the Northside Road, near the John F. Kennedy Terrance housing community, when he and his friends heard several shots being fired.

When they arrived at the Five Corners intersection, the driver realized that he was injured. He and his friend, who was riding on the passenger’s side, switched seats in the car, and his friend drove him to the hospital, where he was treated for a gunshot wound to his right forearm.

No one involved observed where the shots were coming from or who may have shot at them.d
