Police Arrest Fugitive from New Jersey

At 10:48 a.m. Monday, officers from the V.I. Police Department Customs and Border Protection agents arrested Kyle W. Champagnie, age 34 of Hillside, New Jersey, charging him with being a fugitive from justice.

Customs and Border Protection agents held Champagnie at the Cyril E. King Airport after it was discovered that he was wanted in New Jersey on a Parole Violation warrant.

VIPD detectives picked up Champagnie and remanded him to the Bureau of Corrections, pending his extradition hearing.
