Claudette Luetta Petersen of Estate Mon Bijou died on Sunday, July 4. She was 80 years old.
She is survived by her daughters: Christine E. Greenidge and Debra Knight; son, Steven E. Matta; grandchildren: Meriba Greenidge-Jacobs, Tishri and Adonay Greenidge Sr., Shamano, Hatha and Prana Mabue, Safiya Knight, Shamariah Campbell, Steven E. Matta II, Marrissia C. Matta-Broaden, Stenay and Jeremy Matta; great-grandchildren: Taheem D. Jacobs, Anisha, Adonay Jr. and Ajahni Greenidge, Christina N. Broaden, Jashawn Edward, Gavin, Jace, Saint and Croix Owen, Kahlil, Kathryn, and Eric Mabue, Cairo Wright, Cameron Ivory, Marley Smith and Nia Matta; sisters: Carol Nanton, Lynette and Iantha Petersen; brothers: Victor E. Petersen and Victor U. Petersen; and aunts: Roselyn Galloway, Yvonne Hunt-Liburd, Winifred Canton, Dora Davilla, Myrtle Clarke, Rhenita Del Sola, Avilda Branch and Leatrice Jones.
She is also survived by nieces: Kim Monsanto, Ores and Zoe Tadale, Xaia Todman, Christine Canton, Omara, Dahlia, Yaminah, Leann, Oneeka, and Rashida Petersen; nephews: Cy Todman, Kaleed, Michael Jr. and Kimoi Ferdinand, Cy II, Kai, Kobi and Kimari Todman, Michael Ferdinand Sr., Ben Tadale, Maurice, Victor M. and Omar S.V. Petersen; son-in-law, Maurice A. Greenidge; brother-in-law, Shadrach Gill; grandsons-in-law: Lloyd Jacobs Jr. and Christopher M. Broaden; granddaughter-in-law, Shanice M. Williams; and uncles-in-law: Ernest Galloway and Donald Liburd.

There will be a viewing at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, July 30, at Friedensberg Moravian Church. Interment will be in Friedensfeld Midland Moravian Church Yard.
