Frederiksted Woman Charged with Ammunition Possession

At about 6:16 a.m., Friday, members of the V.I. Police Department police arrested Rikisha Heywood, age 35 of Queen Street in Frederiksted, charging her with possession of ammunition.

According to police, officers discovered ammunition while executing a search warrant at her residence.

Bail for Heywood was set at $5,500, which she was unable to post. She was subsequently turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections, pending her advice of rights hearing.
