STJ Motorcyclist Dies in Collision

A 36-year-old St. John man was killed Tuesday in a collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle, the V.I. Police Department reported.

The victim was identified by next of kin as Ceneca E. Lindo of Estate Enighed, police said.

According to the VIPD report, at about 6:55 p.m. Jan. 26 officers of the VIPD Traffic Investigation Bureau were notified of a vehicular accident in Estate Adrian. Upon arrival, officers learned of a collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle.

The driver of the vehicle told officers that as he traveled around the corner of the road, a motorcycle was traveling directly towards his vehicle, and the two collided. Emergency Medical Technicians on the scene confirmed the operator of the motorcycle, Lindo, had no signs of life.

This accident is under investigation. Police urged anyone with information about the incident to contact police by calling 911 or the Traffic Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211.
