The Environmental Health Division of the Virgin Islands Department of Health (DOH) advises the public that all food sale events must be approved with a Special Event Health Permit prior to the event. All persons working at an event who will be handling and serving food, beverages or food service items must have a current Food Handlers Health Card.

The Special Events Permits and Food Handlers Health Cards can be obtained between 8:30 a.m. And 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, on St. Croix at the Charles Harwood Modular located at 3500 Estate Richmond, Modular Building 3 (behind Charles Harwood Memorial Complex). Call 718-1311 ext. 3701 for additional information.

The Special Events Permits and Food Handlers Health Cards can be obtained on St. Thomas at 1303 Hospital Ground, Suite 10. Call 774-9000 ext. 4642 for additional information.

More information about the health card process can be found at https://doh.vi.gov/programs/environmental-health/how-obtain-health-card.
