Isabel Knight Dies at 91

Isabel Knight, affectionately known as “Bell,” was 91 years old.

Isabel Knight was born Nov. 19, 1929, in Puerto Rico.  She became a long-time resident of St. Croix after marrying Floyd Knight. She is remembered as a no-nonsense woman with a huge heart for people. She sacrificed her needs for the ones she loved. She enjoyed planting and sitting on the porch, socializing with anyone who passed by. Anyone who knew her knew that she was a special woman. She will be forever loved and missed constantly. While you left us a void, we rejoice knowing that you are in a better place.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Knight; mother, Cecilia Olivo; daughter, Lydia Rivera; and brother, Jose Betancourt.

She is survived by her granddaughters: Ligia Sextius and Ginah Febres; great-grandchildren: Marcus, Taliyah, Faith, Melody and Andrew; sisters-in-law: Lucy Betancourt and Virginia Knight; nieces: Lesbia Betancourt, Martin, Jose Antonio and Mary Carmen; special friend, Altagracia DeCruz; as well as many friends and family too numerous to mention.

The family would like to thank the Staff of Continuum Care for their support during this difficult time.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Schuster’s Crematorium LLC.
