Positive COVID-19 Test Results Increase by 14 in USVI

The number of U.S. Virgin Islanders testing positive for COVID-19 rose by 14 out of an additional 284 test results reported, the V.I. Department of Health said in an alert issued Saturday night.

According to the figures reported Saturday night, 6,938 tests have been reported in the territory, an increase of 284 from the previously reported 6,654.

Of those, 297 have been reported as positive, an increase of 14 over Friday’s count of 283. The number of COVID-19 cases considered recovered increased by two, from 133 reported Friday to 135 in Saturday’s report.

The number of tests which resulted in negative tests rose by 348, from the previously reported 6,239 to Saturday’s report of 6,587.

There are still 54 tests pending, the DOH reported.
