Police Investigate Report of First-Degree Burglary

The V.I. Police Department is investigating a report of a burglary thaqt took place at Thursday evening on St. Croix.

According to police, at 9:03 p.m. June 18 the 911 emergency call center dispatched officers to Ms. Bea Road near Green Cay regarding a burglary in progress.

At the scene, officers traveled to the area and made contact with the victim, who told them two suspects had forced themselves inside his residence and assaulted him with a firearm while a third suspect stood watch. He said the suspects restrained him and searched his residence, demanding money and jewelry. The suspects fled the area on foot.

The victim sustained several lacerations to his head. He was treated by emergency medical technicians on the scene for his injuries.
