Julio Carmona III Dies at 18

Julio Carmona III

Julio Carmona III, also known as “DonRa Suave,” of Estate Mary’s Fancy died on June 11. He was 18 years old.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Iris “Ove” Carmona; and grandfather, Armando Rosario Sr.

He is survived by his parents: Julio Carmona Jr. and Jessica Rosario; grandmother, Carmen Lydia Rivera; grandfather, Julio Carmona Sr.; adoptive grandfather: Justino “Puco” Sanchez; sister, Jeylani Amaris Carmona; brother: Steve “Rae” Ventura; adoptive nephew, De’oni Williams; and aunts: Miriela Carmona, Iris Carmona, Rose Marie Rosario, Kayla Grajales Rosario, Melissa Rosario, Maria Santiago, Carmen Schreiner, Milagros Santiago, Luz Anderson and Ivelisse Santiago.

He is also survived by uncles: Armando Rosario Jr., Roberto Grajales, Richard Anderson and James Schreiner; godparents: Orlando Benitez Sr., Luz Benitez, Fernando Irizarry and Melodi Acevedo; and special friends: Lataijah, Gira, Tatiana, Zoe, Brilynn, Shamarie, Ajah, Rosa, Shamaya, D’ani, Isander, Jibri, Khaiel, Rashawn, Shaheem, Chris, Shamoy, Chuchu, Jahbyel, Rey, Anthony, Ahijah, Tyler, Donte, Deonte, Shamaree, Jakeem, Guillermo, Buttaz, Humphrey, Geron, Luis Jr., Jordi, Gabriel, Nathan.

He is survived by more special friends: Bianca Berrios, Joe (S.C.), Edward (S.C.), John (N.C.), The Effervescent Class of 2019, Elmo Plaskett East Little League, Coach Alston Freeman and the Morris College Baseball Team and Faculty, El Flamboyant and The La Reine Chicken Shack family, Benitez family, Cirilo family and the Viera family; and coaches: Alston Freeman, Luis Viera Sr., Leroy Simmonds, Makeel Rodgers, Raymond Brady, Rael Sackey, Cheo Guerra, Fidel Belardo and Bibi Bates.

Other survivors include cousins and other relatives: Jomar F. Brache, Keishaly Brache, Myraida Ruiz, Melissa Rodriguez, Fredy Ruiz, Crystal Torres, Christine Lubrin, Adrian Rosario, Edwin Calderon, Kimberly Maisonet, Emilee Calderon, Jahsai Rosario, Yalena Anderson, Ajahni Rosario, Yoanel Grajales, Elijah Rosario and Yovian Grajales; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, June 27, at the Basilio Felix Ball Park followed by a Homegoing service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
