Chief Justice Rhys S. Hodge and Presiding Judge Harold W. L. Willocks inform the public of the launch of the public access portal for the Superior Court Case Management System. As part of a staggered implementation, public access will be open for certain case types including probate, litter, traffic and conservation cases.
In this initial phase, documents filed after June 1, 2020, will be available online through the Judicial Branch of the Virgin Islands web portal at http://usvipublicaccess.vicourts.org. The public will be able to view basic case information, such as parties, dockets, hearings, assessments and fees.
While every effort is made to keep information provided over the internet accurate and up-to-date, the Judicial Branch of the Virgin Islands does not certify the authenticity or accuracy of such information. In the event any user discovers confidential, sensitive or inaccurate data, the user is urged to immediately notify the Judicial Branch of the Virgin Islands of such occurrence(s). Access to additional documents and case types will be forthcoming at a future date and the judicial branch will advise accordingly.
The final phase of the CMS project will consist of the long-awaited electronic filing capability in the trial court through a unified portal for both the Supreme and Superior Courts anticipated at the end of August 2020.
With the launch of the new case management system in February of this year, the judicial branch is pleased with the overall success of the CMS project, and the consistent improvement of access to services to both its judicial partners and the community at-large.
