Beloved husband, father, grandfather and respected St. Croix, USVI, business owner Dennis R. Sheraw, 75, passed away peacefully at home on May 2, 2020, due to congestive heart failure.
He was born in Pennsylvania in 1944.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 49 years, Gail; two children: Chad (Perry) Sheraw and Julie (Gilmore) Erikson; and three grandchildren: Kaitlin Erikson, Parker Sheraw and Serena Sheraw.
Dennis graduated from Clarion University and served in the U.S. Army Military Intelligence Corps before becoming a special agent in the FBI.
In 1977, Dennis became the security director for Hess Oil Virgin Islands Corp. on St. Croix. In 1983, he established the private security firm, Dennis R. Sheraw & Associates Inc., which he owned and operated until he retired to Niceville, Fla., in 2018.
Dennis adored his wife and family. He loved adventure and traveled the world with his loving wife. He will be remembered by his many friends for his excellent sense of humor, his commitment to the St. Croix community, and his love of music.
