Burglary Reported at Margaritaville

A car was stolen Sunday from the parking lot of Pineapple Village, Margaritaville, on St Thomas, the V.I. Police reported.

According to police, at 9:11 p.m. Sunday, the 911 emergency call center dispatched officers to Pineapple Village, Margaritaville, regarding a burglary.

The victims reported they had been in their apartment all day and that the gate to their premises and the front door were closed, but not locked. At about 8:45 p.m. they noticed that their previously parked vehicle was no longer in the parking lot. They also discovered that money and keys to another vehicle were also missing.

This matter is being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Police urged anyone with information about the crime to contact 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211 extension 5556, or the anonymous tip service Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477.
