Reports of COVID-19 Death in the USVI Are False

Reports of a death in the U.S. Virgin Islands from COVID-19 are false, according to the V.I. Territorial Emergency Management System.

There is one confirmed case in the USVI and no deaths as of Sunday morning. A report on the CNN website has been corrected to show the one case and no fatalities.

More information on COVID-19, the new strain of coronavirus, are online at the USVI Department of Health’s website, doh.vi.gov/coronavirus or by texting COVID19USVI to 888777.
