Charles Alexander Richards Dies in Miami

Charles Alexander Richards, better known as “Mack,” “Skinny,” “Shorty” or “Brother Richie,” died on Jan. 20 in Miami, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Adrian and Olive Richards; sister, Iris Henry; brothers: Wayland, Clifford and Samuel Richards (who also died the same day).

Charles Alexander Richards is survived by his nieces: Stacy Henry, Michelle, Fabiola, Gayle, Roni, Marilyn, Aleah, Faye and Sandra Richards; nephews: Alford “Al” Henry, Keithroy, Clifford, Cameron, Nixon and Franklyn Richards; and other relatives to include cousins, great nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.

He is also survived by special friends: Ms. Lynette Glasford, Mrs. Cleone Van Beverhoudt, Ms. Berenice Francis, Ms. Mauritzer Gumbs, Mr. William Ryan, Bishop George Best and the entire congregation of Agape Family Church of God.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the viewing from 9-10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Agape Family Church of God in Savan (down the street from the former Red Ball Grocery). The service will follow immediately afterwards at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 2.

Arrangements are under the care of Dan Hurley Home for Funerals and Cremation Centers of St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix.
