Elmo E. Francois Dies at 94

Elmo E. Francois

Elmo E. Francois died on Jan. 13 at age 94.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Francois; and son, Dale Francois.

Elmo Francois is survived by his daughters: Emily Silver, Yvonne Francois and Dolores Thomas; son, Keith E. Francois; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Homer Francois; sons-in-law: Matthew Silver Jr. and Melvin Thomas III; sisters-in-law: Cecelia Cruse and Faye Francois; brothers-in-law: Pedrito A. Francois and Donald Francois; and grandsons: Matthew Silver III, Keith (Kebo) Francois, Jamal Francois, Keith A. Francois and Kasheed Francois.

He is also survived by his granddaughters: Karimah Francois, Ebony Joyce, Jamila Cobb, Tamika Harrell and Kamille Francois; great-grandchildren: Nicole Silver, Jade Silver, Jamal Francois II, Deon Ray Jr., Gianni Cobb, Atreyu Cobb, Emery Joyce, Aubrey Joyce, Jalen Joyce, Monta Harrell, Londyn Harrell, Keniqua Francois, Kaliera Francois, Keidrick Francois, Khalema Francois, Keiandra Francois, Kiori Francois, Keiandre Francois and Akida Jackson; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the first viewing from 5-7 pm., Thursday, Jan. 23, at the Celestial Chapel – Hurley Funeral Home.  A second viewing will be held from 8 – 8:30 a.m., Friday Jan. 24, at the Celestial Chapel – Hurley Funeral Home.   The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 9:30 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral. Interment: Western Cemetery No. 1.

Arrangements are under the care of Dan Hurley Home for Funerals and Cremation Centers of St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix.
