Three Injured in Castle Coakley

Three people were treated for gunshot wounds Sunday at the Gov. Juan F. Luis Memorial Hospital following a Sunday morning shooting in the Castle Coakley area of St. Croix.

Castle Coakley was the location of a fatal shooting less than 24 hours earlier.

At about 9:40 a.m. Sunday, the 911 call center received several reports of gun shots being fired in Castle Coakley. At the scene, officers discovered spent casings. They were also told that the victims were taken to Luis hospital in private vehicles.

Detectives were notified at the hospital of three gunshot victims. All three victims, two males and one female, are in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. One of the victims is a minor, and one victim has to be airlifted for further medical treatment.
