Armando Cece Suarez Dies in Florida

Armando Cece Suarez

Armando Cece Suarez, also known as “Nandy,” died on Nov. 14 in Tampa, Fla., at the age of 80.

Armando C. Suarez is survived by his wife, Elvita Suarez; his children: Luis E. Suarez, Alex I. Suarez, Diana Suarez-Camacho, Delia Richardson and Lorena Trivino; daughters-in-law: Sherita Suarez and Camille JoAnn Arjune-Suarez; sons-in-law: Gabriel Richardson and Paul Trivino Sr.; grandchildren: Jesus Garcia Jr., Denicia Suarez, Danah Suarez, Xzavier Suarez, Evan Suarez, Aaren Suarez, Aneesah Thibedeaux, Shinel Suarez, David Suarez and Paul Trivino Jr.; great- grandchildren: Anthony and Asia Thibedeaux, A’Jiydah Schuster, Zanilah Smart, Tre’von Smart, DaRiyah Christian and Nahla Garcia; ssisters: Lucia Suarez Cece and Sarita Gonzalez; close cousins: Terry and Tuti Highfield; and other family and friends too numerous to mention.

Armando was a joyous, festive soul who was known for his many years at Bata Shoe Store, managing JP Sales Shoe store, serving over 30 plus years in the St. Croix National Guard MP where he held rank of Sergeant First Class and later retired in 1996, and lastly, working for Jacobs at Hovensa until the refinery’s closing in 2012. After many years of hard work and service to the military, he spent his final years caring for his wife, Elvita Suarez.

The first viewing will be held from 3-5 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9, at James Memorial Funeral Home, 6AA Estate La Grande Princess. The second viewing will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10, and will be immediately followed by the service at 10:30 a.m., which will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Christiansted. Burial will follow the service at Kingshill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by James Memorial Funeral Home.

It also extends a big thank you to everyone who has called and shown their support during this time.
