A woman was injured Sunday in a drive-by shooting in the Bolongo area, the V.I. Police Department reported.

“The occupants of a roll-on garbage dump truck was shot at by an oncoming vehicle traveling in the opposite direction,” Dratte said.

A female victim in the truck was grazed on the upper arm and was struck by flying glass in the face. Dratte said as of 4 p.m. Sunday the victim was not being cooperative. As per VIPD policy, the name of the injured woman was not released.
