St. Thomas Man Found Dead

The body of a 29-year-old St. Thomas man was found shot and killed Tuesday morning in the Estate Thomas area, according to the V.I. Police Department.

Next of kin identified the victim as Andre Martin. It was the 12th homicide on St. Thomas for the year, the 28th in the territory.

At about 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, the 911 call center received a call from a concerned citizen who said there was a male lying by a vehicle in the Estate Thomas area and the male appeared to have been shot.

Units from the Richard N. Callwood and the Criminal Investigation Bureau traveled to Estate Thomas and discovered an unresponsive male, later identified as Martin, who appeared to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical technicians on the scene determined that the man did not have any vital signs.
