Norris D. Harris of Estate Peter’s Rest died on Aug. 7. He was 76 years old.
He is survived by his spouse, Maguerite “Rita” Harris; children: Vuriley Harris, Coreen Harris, Berenice (aka Summer) Harris, Dalarie Harris, Dido Harris, Derika Harris-Hosein, Anthony Harris, Norris D. Harris Jr., Delano Harris Sr., Danto Harris Sr., Annique Joseph, Rosalie Revan and Sandra Joseph-Smith; sisters: Thelma Plaskett, Vuriley Jones, Theresa Miranda, Iantha Schou, Mary Clarke and Elouise Boatswain; and brothers: Carl Yhan and Arnold Brown.
He is also survived by daughters/sons–in-law: Sharon Harris, Sandra Harris, Gladys Harris / Latiff Hosein, Altermus “Al” Smith and Antonio “MayKay” Revan; sisters-in-law: Pastor E. Maria Penn Leerdam, Dr. Eleanor Penn Blyden, Elenora L. Penn, Doris A. Penn and Francine A. Penn-Scipio; brothers-in-law: Sidney Jones, George Clarke and Frank Boatswain; and special family: the Greenidge family, Josephine Hector, Albert and Marie Schuster, Harrison family, Davis family, Watson family, Harris family, Brown family, Boatswain family, Yhan family, Schou family and Vialet family.
Other survivors include special cousin, Ronald Davis; special friends: Camille “Ramos” Macedon, Toll “Compi” Rivera, Franklin “#1” Schuster Sr., Marvin “Seaweed” and Betsy Benjamin, Sherock Gill, Nurse family, Jeffers family, McFarlande family, Trevor Charles and the entire Peters Rest family circle; 38 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; adopted granddaughter, Charika Milligan; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins too numerous to mention.
The viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 24, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
