AT&T’s retail team is helping local students return to school with supplies in hand.
The store employees donated a total of 40 drawstring backpacks stuffed with pencils, crayons, rulers, glue sticks, pencil cases, pencil sharpeners, notebooks, and erasers to the Boys & Girls Club of the Virgin Islands and the Caribbean Centers for Boys & Girls of the Virgin Islands. Wipes and hand sanitizer were also donated. Each AT&T employee personally pitched in to purchase the supplies.
The back-to-school donation is just 1 of many ways AT&T’s VI retail team gives back to the local community, especially children, according to the company.
“We have a soft spot in our hearts for these 2 organizations and the children they serve,” said Catherine Kling, AT&T area retail sales manager for the Virgin Islands. “Like AT&T, they’re committed to improving our local communities and ensuring a brighter future for our youth.”
In 2018, AT&T employee groups collectively volunteered hundreds of thousands of hours to worthy causes and granted more than $1 million in scholarships.
