STJ Government Complex Closed by Water and Sewage Leak

The Government Complex on St. John will be closed until Wednesday because of an overspill of raw sewage that affected the offices in the building, according to a news release from the V.I. Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

“For us to clean and sanitize the building, we must close the building to the public,” the notice, issued Monday, reported. “We anticipate that the work will continue until Wednesday.”

Members of the public on St. John who have an immediate need for service from the BMV can take their issue to the bureau’s office on St. Thomas, the news release said.
