R-A-I-N Spells Relief

After weeks of oppressively dry conditions, the skies opened Monday morning bringing moisture relief to St. Thomas and St. John.

The National Weather Service predicts rain showers in some form – including for St. Croix beginning Tuesday and continuing through Friday, with chances of precipitation between 20 and 60 percent.

Weatherunderground foresees as much as a two-inch accumulation for St. Croix Tuesday, while St. Thomas’ and St. John’s accumulations will decrease some.

Meanwhile, the steady downpour on St. Thomas Monday morning had residents sighing collective relief after months of a few scarce moments of teasing sprinkles at best.
